I've started a new school in a new country and it's all going alright but I'm kind of homesick and finding it a little hard to make friends. Advice?

myacidicinfatuation:

Well my first suggestion would be to try your best to find some clubs you might enjoy. That way you’d meet people with the same interests as you. If that doesn’t work, take a look at the people in your classes. Say you’re in an art class that you really love, and you notice that someone else really loves it too. That would make for a pretty good friend with a common interest. For approaching people, my top suggestion would be to NOT BE AFRAID. They don’t know you, you don’t know them. Start one day with something simple like a “hello”. Then give them a compliment. “If you like someone’s shirt, tell them.” Is kinda my #1 motto (well besides “don’t be a fuckin bitch). I guess all you really need to do is relax, be yourself, and be friendly. If you make yourself seem like you’d be a good friend (saying hi to people, giving occasional compliments, etc) people are likely to want to be friends with you :) of course, this is all just from my experience, so if it doesn’t work, please tell me, and I’ll try to think of other things

Mumford and Sons basically.

bustysaintclair:

Kids please don’t think that it’s unusual or special to be dating someone with whom you can watch netflix and eat pizza and hold hands and also have hot sex with

It concerns me when I see millions of notes on a post that’s like “fuck me hard but also be sweet with me”

Like what kinds of relationships are you in that you think this is a revolutionary thing to ask
